Terms of Service

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These terms apply when you order an SEO Flashlight website audit. SEO Flashlight is a service of SquareStair Media, a business based in Toronto, Ontario ("we", "us"). By placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you're ordering for a business, you confirm you're allowed to accept them on its behalf.

1. What you're buying

Each order is a one-time, automated audit of the public pages of one website. You receive a PDF report covering technical SEO, content, structured data, speed, images and readiness for AI search tools. It isn't a subscription, and nothing renews.

Each plan covers a maximum number of pages:

  • Spotlight: up to 25 pages
  • Full Beam: up to 100 pages
  • Wide Beam: up to 500 pages

If your site has more pages than your plan covers, we audit up to the limit, starting with the pages that matter most: your homepage, the pages it links to and the pages in your sitemap.

2. The report is generated automatically

Our software reads your public pages and analyzes them with AI-assisted tools. No person reviews your report before it's delivered.

Automated analysis can misread a page or miss context that a person would catch. Treat each finding as a recommendation to check before you act on it.

Before you can download your report, we ask you to confirm that you understand it was generated automatically. We keep a record of that confirmation, including the exact wording you agreed to and when.

3. What we don't promise

Search engines and AI tools make their own decisions, and we have no control over them. So we can't promise:

  • any change in rankings, traffic, leads or sales
  • that any AI tool will mention or cite your site
  • that the report finds every issue on your site

The report isn't legal, accessibility-compliance or security advice. Where it notes something that looks like a security concern, that's an observation from your public pages, not a security assessment or a penetration test.

4. How the audit reaches your site

We read your public pages the way a search engine does. We don't log in, submit forms, change anything on your site or ask for passwords. We limit how many pages we read to your plan's maximum.

If your site blocks automated visitors, is offline, or is too slow to respond, we may not be able to finish the audit. If that happens, we'll contact you by email.

5. Your responsibilities

  • You own the website you submit, or you have permission from its owner to have it audited.
  • The email address you give us is yours, and you can receive mail at it. We send your confirmation link and your report there.
  • You won't use the service to harm anyone, overload a website, or try to get around our security or ordering limits.

We may decline or cancel an order that looks fraudulent or breaks these terms.

6. Price, tax and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable tax. You pay once, at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Your audit starts after Stripe confirms your payment.

7. Delivery

Most reports are ready within an hour of payment. Larger sites take longer. When yours is done, we email you a private link to your report page. The link works for 30 days, so please download the PDF and keep a copy.

The link is private to you. Anyone who has it can open your report page, so don't share it publicly.

If a payment is reversed or disputed, the link to that report stops working.

8. If something isn't right

If something in your report is unclear, use the "Have someone contact me" button on your report page. A member of the SquareStair Media team will get in touch to walk you through it.

For anything else about your order, email legal@squarestairmedia.com. We'll work with you to sort it out.

9. Using your report

The report is yours to use for your website and your business. You can share it with your team, your web developer or anyone helping you act on it.

The SEO Flashlight software, its methods, its report design and its name belong to SquareStair Media. Please don't resell our reports or present them as your own service.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • Our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, including losses from decisions you make based on the report.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow to be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The version in effect when you place your order applies to that order. We'll show the date of the latest update at the top of this page.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto.
